hello guys,

New to this forum

want to build custom HTPC for my Media playing and gaming(not tooo serious gaming, but mid level gaming)

browsing through lot of sites for this purpose. I already posted this requirement in another techforum too and i got real good suggestions from them. As i feel that this forum is more active i Just want your Nod...

requirements:
1) Complete HD video and Audio
2) Moderate gaming
3)Should not be power hungry and should be value for money.
4)need stable system.(you can advice me on AMD vs Intel)
5) Should not be overkill to call it as 'HTPC'.

I am going to use this on Full HD tv and i have plans for complete Home theater in near term, pls advice me can i skip amplifier by extending HTPC hardware.
Budget:15 to 20K.

these specs are from some US site, so, need to know the availability also.
both are around 17000. Need suggestions keeping VFM in mind and should be futureproof for next two to three years.
Suggest me if i can get something good with less price.

AMD:
[cpu] Athlon X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz AM3 95W

Why not some Fusion based mITX soln?

Bang for buck. :D. Check the show off section to see a MSI 350IA. Costs around 9~8k

jhonny,

lets wt for this liano launch.

it will be more future proof and overall perf. will be better than current gen stuff .

it should launch in months time.
