IEM only,to be used with a sansa clip
no time to search around,so does anyone know any good ones for rock and metal music?
price estimate are welcome,btw im in chennai
 
sennheiser cx 400 :) if you want to get something locally.

soundmagic pl-30 +fiio e3 amp from mp4nation.net if you dont mind waiting 1-2 months for delivery :P

(the bass is bit underpowered , but SQ is supposed to be really good)

one of the new mylars from jaben.net should be around 2-2.4k

i think cx 400 is a good option .

While considering the ep630s,i read that they were very similar to the cx300,so whats the diff between the cx300 and cx400?
 
cx 300 is better than ep-630.

i used to own a ep-630 and heard a friends cx 300 ..

i could feel the difference in SQ.

the cx-400 was more refined ...tighter bass and sharp sound :).

easily noticeable difference between the two.

if its between ep-630 and cx 300 ..then go for cx 300.

(ep-630 are also good .infact most VFM for ~ 700 bucks)

see if you can get a CX 400 ..according to reviews and a few people ive asked ..the cx 400 are very good .and better sounding than cx 300 too :)

there was a recent GO(group order) on TE,where a lot of members bought the cx 400 ..you can ask them.
 
i saw a pair of cx400s in landmark,but they were 2800 mrp,would independent electronics shops have it for ~2k?
 
another option might be to save up and go for the next level?
Been drooling over my bro's shure e2c,how much do those go for?
 
Shure E2C costs a cool $119 !!!

I have ordered the Soundmagic PL-11 and PL-30 for myself (I get bored with one sound signature very fast ! )

I will check and let you know how good the sound is.
 
actually my bro bought his e2c for $60 off amazon
And the newer se110 themselves are $99
