need info on paypal

i usually dont use paypal , i dont even have an account, but right now a client is insisting me to use it for his payments
so a) considering an amount of 1000-2000$ +3% charges , how much will i get to my account
b) what all do i need to start the verified account

If someone sends you 1000 USD, you will get 960.7 USD in your PayPal account after all the receiving fees. When converting to INR, the exchange rate will be inclusive of a 2.5% currency conversion surcharge. The XE.com exchange rate as of now is 52.3948 and PayPal's withdrawal exchange rate is 50.6317.

So if someone sends you 1000 USD right now, you would get Rs 48,641.87 in your Indian bank account.
 
I tried creating an Account with Paypal but its so darn difficult, they take ages verifying PAN, CC, Bank Account.
Deleted twice after creating new accounts. Now not creating.

You will need to bind an account to it, that too a bank account. You cannot receive money into the account. They might hit you a $1.00 test debit, which comes back after you cross verify as per your print bill. Some code. Also you PAN is needed.
 
so how long does it take , bugging clients , wonder why they just cant send me a wire transfer like the rest

For output it is damn quick. For input, till they verify your bank account details. At least create an ID. Since the instrument directly hits your savings account, would suggest you to flush out cookies and saved browser data each time you log into the site, once your ID is set up.

I think 6-7 days. You can always contact them via the help system. But I never set up input, so not sure. I use mine for output, to various places (sites) I need to pay using PP protocol.
