PC Peripherals Need laptop suggestions

My brother in UK is looking to buy a laptop..so I need some suggestions

Usage: All purpose (work, movies, music, gaming)
Budget: Nothing fixed

He would be watching tv shows and movies on it...i am not sure if he should go for 15" or 17". Does 17" get too heavy? would be good if it can run some recent games too.

Also he has an option of buying it from UK or from Canada. Which would be cheaper?
 
check out online stores like Bestbuy.com, newegg.com for best VFM laptops. BB also has retail outlets. They always have some great offers on laptops.
