Hi,


Among the 2 choices i would say go for Xonar DX if you have that budget , but it does not has a headphone amp so if you don't need that feature you can avoid DG for your needs.

Xonar DX is better for 5.1 speaker setup as compared to DG, but if you just want a basic sound upgrade you can pick DG as well.

Music DX >> DG
Movies DX >= DG
Gaming DX >= DG

Thanks for the quick reply Nalin.....If I choose DG from the two would there be any noticeable difference compared to the present setup which I have? and my mobo is gigabyte UD3R.

I have seen some reviews and some of them say that DG is better than DX....in case of testfreaks.com....here's the link

According to your current setup there won't be a huge noticeable difference , i would advice you to go for DG and save that money and you can always upgrade your speakers in the near future.

Xonar DG has a warm and bassy sound signature as compared to DX, so if you are looking for bass then DG is the perfect choice.
