Laptops need of opinion about Compaq laptop

Hi,

I am planning to buy a compaq laptop and I got to know about 2 models in it and they are : CQ -40 144tu & CQ-40 145tu.

I would like to know about battery backup,performance etc about them from the people who are using them.

Also I would like to know whether both the machines support installation of XP?
