Need password recovery or cracker

I found some old word documents of my college projects but unfortunately I had them password protected and I cant recall the password of that time.
So want to open them with some free utility which can recover the password or best remove the password.

Any tool will do both online or offline.
 
Those steps are valid only if I'm able to open the document. Its prompting for password to open.

^^ looks like you are mistaken too :p

you are talking about documents that are disabled for editing but OP wants to get rid of the protection to open the document in the first place.

Exactly. I want to get rid of the password itself and not interested in its recovery.
