Budget - 10-15k
Usage - Printing Black/White documents, and Scanning Colour + Black/White documents
Requirement - Good quality prints / Mobile App operable (MUST)
Ink - Should be cost effective
(unlike HP ink cartrides which can only print 450 pages for 800rs, no thanks xD)

Preferably not a large size printer.
Any suggestions?

I use the brother printer with toner box tech. Dcp 7535dw. got it for 19k about 3years ago.
Love the machine. Works great. I haven't gotten close to finishing the ink in it and even if i did a refill is pretty damn cheap.
Also, on a separate note, if you do get a printer with Usb only, you can hook it up to your wifi router and use that to give the printer wifi functionality. However it is clumbersome and you need a wifi router with a usb port.
Out of principal, i have been avoiding anything HP. Dont trust cannon much either.

Don't get anything from Pantum got a duplex B/W a few years ago and it is absolutely garbage, after the ink finished for the first time, the printing quality and intensity deteriorated like crazy, you can barely read the text and sometimes it doesn't even detect the toner cartridge.

I have been using Epson Eco Tank L3150 Wifi printer for 6 years & I have changed ink just once. This series of printers comes with ink bottles bundled which will give prints up to 3000 pages. Epson has a app in the google play store & Apple play store called Epson iPrint which is used to print anything over the phone.

OP can go with Epson Eco Tank L3260 @ 15.8k from Epson Authorised stores or Epson online shop.

Open Epson Authorised store link given above and click the "Where to buy" which opens the page for the store locator based on "State, City, Locality". Buying from these stores are much cheaper than Amazon & Flipkart which are selling the same above model for 17.5k & 18.3k respectively.

For colour, epson inktank printers are good. All shops in my town are epson inktank printers (csc shops). My friend refills with fake ink and it works fine.

I personally use brother laser printer h-2321d laser printer. Bought it second hand. I love using it. I refill the powder myself and super easy to do so. Have total 27k prints already.

unfortunately, the size is too big for my enclosed deskapce, so it wont even fit. not to mention the obvious budget constraints xD but thanks for refommending
