I am in need of a new PSU for my rig and would appreciate advice for the same.

Currently I am using a local PSU and after adding 3rd HD to my rig, its getting very loud humming noice so I want to upgrade my PSU.

My PC Config :

CPU : P IV - 3 GHZ

MB : Intel 101 GGC

RAM : 2X1 GB - DDR1

HD : 3 (1 TB WD Black + 1 TB WD Green + 160 GB Samsung)

DVD Writer : 1X HP DVD Writer

No External Graphics Card

Use : Mainly web surfing, watching HD movies etc (No Games)

After doing some research I have come to the conclusion that seasonic PSUs are the best.

Please suggest which model is suitable for me

Seasonic Bronze S12II-430 OR Seasonic Bronze S12II-520

OK i have a doubt....My MB requires a 2X12 (12V) Power connector while the Seasonic PSUs mention main power connector

as 24 Pin/20 Pin connector.

Is it compatible ? (doubting since my MB is abt 6 years old)

i think most psu's come with a 20+4 pin and another 4pin or 4+4 pin connector so you should prolly be fine with either of the psu's and i think you should consider corsair cx430w as well which is a solid psu as well...i run an i3/4gb/4hdd/8800gt on it and it runs everything just fine...

There's no need for op to go for Seasonic s12ii 430w psu, just Corsair CX430 V2-2.1k OR Fsp sagaii 400w-1.8k will do more than fine.

Seasonic will prove over kill for your system. Go with Corsair good ASS & buid quality. FSP too good brand you can rely.
