Hi,
I need a wifi-router for Bsnl 750 ul in a largish house . I have come across this basic routers -

ASUS RT-N10+ - ASUS RT-N10+ EZ N Wireless Router - Asus: Flipkart.com
Asus RT-N10E - Asus RT-N10E Wireless-N150 Router - Asus: Flipkart.comNetgear WGR614 - Netgear WGR614 Wireless-N 150 Router - Netgear: Flipkart.com

What is the difference between two Asus models ?

Asus RT-N12 LX - Asus RT-N12 LX 300Mbps Wireless Router - Asus: Flipkart.com

Will the 300 mbps router have better coverage than 150 mpbs router. Are there any other advantages for 300 mpbs ?

I have read these Asus routers supports dd-wrt - is it right?

Please suggest the most viable option for me.

Thank You

Theoretically 300 > 150Mbps

Check dd-wrt database for router support

Thanks for your replies.

Will the Cisco Linksys E900 router work with BSNL connection? I'm a bit confused whether routers with ports for cable connection work with dsl connections like BSNL & Airtel .

1) I am assuming you already have a bsnl modem. You put the lan cable from the modem into the router. And the router gives you a wireless network across the house. (when you setup, just give the router a different ip, because both will be 192.168.1.1 by default)
2) 300mbps and 150mbps have the same range. The asus N10+ has a 5dB antenna, while I am not sure about the N10E. Different countries seem to have different versions.
3) The asus routers support dd-wrt.
4) You donot mention floor space, but with a router in a central location on the first floor, you can cover 4000 sq. ft. or so (in my experience) over ground and 1st floor.

I have the n10+, happy with its performance. It runs 24h for me. I bought it because it works as a repeater as well, which was my intended use. The normal N10 didnot do that.
