Linux Need Script for Rsync the Files and Dir (640gb) from Netapp File to Sun Storage 7110

Hi Guys..

If Anybody have Good Scripting knowledge..please help me to write this script guys..

I have 640 gb of data in a netapp filer and recently we build sun storage 7110.actually the plan is remove the Netapp file .so i want to Sync the data which is of 640gb in Storage 7110.I tried Rsync but of no Use.Bcoz it's almost 640 gb of data,which makes the machine Go Down.there are 6 Dir which contains the whole data.so i tried moving one dir at a time .But it's almost 150 gb of data i one dir so Machine Is unable to sync.And i am very bad at Scripting So i need ur help guys.please Help me with the script which syncs the data from one by one file .{Perl or Shell Scripting}.

How r u planning to move data? You can simply copy the data if downtime can be arranged.

Rsync should work. what trouble are you facing with it? I have transferred data running in few TBs, no issues.

Its quite simple you just need to know the options of rsync well , rsync suffers when you try to copying only the changed content to destination server in that case its better to use sftp.
