SO, as many of you might be knowing that my house renovation is going on, i had decided to throw a proper projector setup as of now :D

Have some doubts regarding follow area, hope some expert will come out with solution :)

1) Ceiling mount LINK

I have doubt, whether i should install these mount on ceiling before false ceiling, or it can be done in false ceiling.

2) 100-inch screen

The screen i think weighs 7-8 kg, and is electric one got from US. The screen is actually made for installing in wall, but also has suspender hook allowing to hook from ceiling. I am planning to put LCD hanging in wall, and mount screen 7-8-inch before the wall, so when screen come down, lcd will be hidden.
>> Is this will be ok ?
>> which thread should i use as suspender which will look good, and also able to hold the weight
>> should i suspend it from false ceiling, or from the main ceiling :(
>> Where i can get 15-17 feet hdmi cable, so that i can connect projector with my AV setup :(

3) Home theater recliner

I wasn't able to find one locally, has no other option rather to get one online :(

Just able to find one from fabfurnish LINK

Are they any good ?, Any other site which sell such things ??

1. GET AN ARCHITECT - I am simply saying this based on the money you see m to be happy to spend, and the number of projects you "plan" to do.
2. True Ceiling
3. Cables on Ebay
4. Electric screen can go up on its own, why a thread?
5. Buy recliner from US, have it sea shipped

Rolling screen in front of LCD is fine. Don't hang anything from the false ceiling. That ceiling mount needs to be attached to the concrete ceiling. No idea about the recliner. HomeTown sells their own version for some 1.5 lacs. No more details with me.

Electric Recliner will be expensive, may be costing upward of 1 Lakh i think. The manual one would cost around 50K i guess (+ or - 20%)

Most probably i will order the recliner from Fabfurnish, they seems to be in my budget :)[DOUBLEPOST=1372085095][/DOUBLEPOST]
I suggest you get 4 x 100 inch TV screens and use them as walls. You will save on cost of construction. The only downside is that you won't be able to get out.

I am planning a home theater setup, not a PVR setup :P[DOUBLEPOST=1372085232][/DOUBLEPOST]
Once all of this is done, *please* post pics.

Wait for 1 month, pics will follow then :D

@Being.smart

Don't just order it online by looking at a website picture. Try going to a physical store and sit on the chair and see if you are fine with it. It is a chair we are talking about here. I feel they need to be tried first to see the comfort level and then decide which to buy.
Also if you have a Tangent showroom in your city try visiting that. Remember it might be pricey there. Not really sure about exact details though.

That cable is so costly. Will a Male-Female combination of cables work ? I guess it should. Also since it is HDMI and digital signals, you will either get something or nothing.

Damm awesome idea :D

Would it be good buying this M/F > http://www.ebay.in/itm/eForCity-Hig...9?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item43b903c33b

or

http://www.ebay.in/itm/5M-HDMI-Exte...-/111102166583?pt=IN_Toys&hash=item19de348637

and then buying another M/M 3M HDMI cable :D , total will be 20 feet yipee :D :D

Just FYI, don't fall for pricey HDMI cables. This market is here to rip off people citing things like better quality picture and whatnot. But from what i had read somewhere, they mentioned that all this is marketing tactics (monster cable in US and all). HDMI is not like your cablewallah's cable where the quality of cable will determine the signal quality. HDMI is transmitting digital signals so the cable will either work or it won't. You will not get like blurred picture or anything.
I might be wrong (may be some parts) with above statement but largely that's how it is.

HDMI cable, you can get it in MX brand, its available in 5 meters and 10 meters too. Check in mdrelectronics.com (MX brand's own site). You can even get HDMI wall plugs.

etc, GOOGLE, beyond 6 feet HDMI cable cost goes up sharply. but you should be able to get a decent cable in less than 3k anyway.

BTW check the length you need, and always take 3-4 feet extra as it will allow you to organize the cable better.

30 Ft

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ordering it right now :D

This is the benefit of posting every problem in TE, i get THE BEST solution :)
