Hey guys,

I finally got my new PC rig today and will be running benchmarks tests tomorrow.

I currently have a TX550M which I got from replacement and I wanted to know if that will be good enough for my new setup which is as follows ->

Mobo -> Asus Maximus V Formula
CPU -> Intel i7-3770k
Ram -> Gskill 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz
HDD -> Corsair Force GT 240GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 3TB
WD Caviar Black 2TB
GPU -> Nvidia Asus 670 D2CT OC' edition

For my test bench Im actually substituting my GPU to my old GTX460 HAWK Twin Frozr II

Also will be getting a corsair H80 or H100 soon.

All I would like to know is will the TX550M be sufficient for this setup or will I need to bump it up. Was actually planning for the AX850 but that's gonna take a while to actually come to the market. So please kindly help me out.

Regards,
Sai.

Running your config on TX550M is little risky,Considering the hard drives with 3770K+GTX670 OC would need a 600W PSU,You'd get Corsair TX650V2-5.4k to overclock and run this rig.The PSU can go kaput on load,Hope this helps.

^Its fine actually, just that he won't be able to do a "big" upgrade doesn't means that its risky.

I just checked my motherboard and I totally forgot that apart from the 24pin power connector it also has a 8+4 pin setup on the top of the motherboard. So my TX550M can't power it up since I'm falling short on the +4 pin at through top. Oh well Ax1200 here I come.

Thanks for your help guys. :-)
