I am planning on getting a Athlon64 3000+, XFX Geforce 6600 (256 MB), 256*2 MB DDR400 Kingston RAM, Seagate 200 GB SATA HDD, 400W iball OR 450W Mercury, BenQ DW-1640, and Creative Audigy2 ZS (fom my old sysem). I am going to choose among the following mobos:
1. Asus A8N-E
2. Asus A8N-VM
3. MSI RS-482 (Only if there is serious data corruption issue with nforce 4)
I know the PSU I chose are crap but they r the best of the craps available in my city. Plz don't suggest other good quality PSU as they r nt available in my city and also I am unwilling to order them from otside at the moment. The 3 above named mobos r the only Athlon64 (s939) mobos available in my city (Guwahati). Apparently, this is an intel city.
OS will be WIN XP Pro SP2 and I am NOT going to connect the hard drive in RAID but I may transfer data from a IDE disc to my SATA disc once in a while but it is not going to be connected permanently, also I will be tranferring large files/folders from and to DVDs and from one partition to the other. This is the information I want for nforce4/410/430 chipset based motherboards especially from those using Seagate Sata HDD.
1. Do u experienced data corruption when transfering very large files/folders.
2. Corupt internet downloads with large files
3. Slow Win XP Bootup problem
4. Lockups
U can also check http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=8171 for more info on this problem.
If u r using MSI RS-482, how do u find this mobo? Does anyone experience high cpu temperature and conflicts with games and softwares which requires patching when using this mobo? Thx.
