Need some information about Employee Provident Fund

I was working for a compnay since the past one year and have an EPF account. I shall be resigning shortly and would need that amount, what ever was deposited in the account.
My employer says that the complete amount whatever was deposited would be transfered to my savings account without any deductions.

I heard from a different source that, if incase somebody wants to withdraw the money before a period of 4 years (which is considered to be the maturity period) since the A/C was opened, only 50% would be paid back

Does somebody has any info on this. I tried to look into the official website which is quite confusing with so many annexures. (like any other govt. rule book)

Will need full details abt your Pf..
Is it Recognized PF or Unrecognized PF..?
If now, you have an RPF ac maintained by your present employer, You can transfer the amt to your individual ac maintained by your new employer...
This amt will not be taxed..

Thats the point. I am not moving to another company.
I will be pursuing my higher studies and don't plan to use this PF account later.
So, i just need the money back.

I don't have the PF details atm.
