Hmm, I have asked to play a 2 hour stint at my upcoming college Fun Festival...

Since my collection of 7k+ MP3's is mostly Trance and Rock, (as I play usually at Trance events), I am really perplexed on what I should play...

So PLEASE give me some nice groovy numbers that'll get the crowd moving, and fast too :S

OT: I'll be playing on a CMX3000 with a Gemini FX7000 :ohyeah:

Seriously....

well, you could play Rammstein. They usually get the crowd up and shouting. Include maybe a few Robert Miles, And maybe a few rocking Hindi numbers like Woh Lamhey, a few DJ remixes like DJ Aqeel, Suketu.

depends on the crowd....I'd guess it'd be a mixed crowd

But trust me on this; Stick to the regular overplayed numbers (Though I suspect you'd personally not like em) like

Bryan Adams' C%%^py nos; 18 til I die, The only thing...., SUmmer of '69

Bon Jovi's usual Livin on a prayer, 'tis my life

You can also try some of the new (albeit crap again) hip-hop / rap tracks like In Da club (50 cent) , Yeah (Lil John _ Usher )

The reason why am saying this is unless you do not know the crowd well, it is safer to assume that most of em would have heard the nos above, and other similar ones that u can think of

BTW Some of the 70s rock songs also work well (though hardly dance tracks)

Sultans of swing , highway star, black dog (Just ensure that the numbers you choose are the ultra popular ones)

COlege Junta won;t take well to trance....actually nor does any1 else til in an altered state of mind ;) but then u never know with goa junta

If you could post back on the kind of crowd that u r expecting, that'd be helpful
 
you could play brain transeau ( BT) ..

play some armin van buuren ... , play a few tiesto stuff too :)

or pick some commercial stuff like trancemaster/dream dance etc etc.. somehow i feel the normal college junta digs such commercial crap a lot more then proper trance :P

btw.. do also play hindi numbers!! .

i tell you i was in goa last week ... and i went to a couple of discs.. and dj suketu`s stuff was hot everywhere...

so play his tracks for sure. junta would love it.. :)

also play adat remix ( kalyug)

ohh also play sasha if you can!! he`s performing from today here in mumbai!

hmm play songs from musafir, (the new track zinda from some new movie) etc etc

Just picked up an MP3 CD contaning 102 *Hindi* tracks...:P

I just finished a remix of that rap track in Bluffmaster "Right here, right now" with "Yeah" from Usher...and it sounds awesome :ohyeah:

I'm mostly finalised my track list and yeah I'll play some AvB and rock lets see how things go, maybe some MLTR and stuff like 50 Cent LP and all...

I'll post the tracklist along with pics of the event too...:D
