Need Suggestion to Buy Window AC

Hi Guys

Since this is the first time I am going to buy an AC, I need your suggestions to make an informed decision.

I am looking forward to buy a window AC (1- 1.5 TON). Since I am living in a rental apartment there is very less possibility of installing a spilt AC (I don't think the owner's gonna allow drilling 3" holes into the wall).
I have been reading about inverter ac's on techenclave, I know they are good in the long term but for now they are a bit out of budget and a bit of installation issue mentioned above.

I have narrowed down on a couple.

GODREJ 1.5 TON

HITACHI 1.1 TON

VOLTAS 1.5 TON
http://www.ebay.in/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300906008551 STAR Rating 3.

I am not sure about whether I should place an order online or try the local market.

Also I am not too aware about the kind of After Sales Support that these companies have the only ones I have dealt so far are LG, Samsung, and Videocon.

Kindly let me know your suggestions on other models.

Thanks a lot

Hitachi would be an easy pick here. Reliable, cools effectively, good A.S.S. Also recommended by most AC technicians.

Not sure if Godrej still makes rock-solid ACs (cost cutting over time?) because I use a 12yr old Godrej 1.0 Windows AC which refuses to give up :p Cools really well, component quality is decent, it just works! A.S.S is questionable though.

Well, i have 2 Onidas split ACs and 1 Godrej window at my place. Godrej isnt bad in terms of cooling and performance as i am quite happy with what it has to offer! Hitachi is the best that i know, but now it totally depends would you want a 1.1 or a 1.5.
