Need suggestions for a good router

Hi all, I need suggestions for purchasing a good router.

My needs are quite simple. I just need to use the wireless router, to surf on my smartphone. I won't be streaming videos on it, or playing games, or any heavy stuff. Mostly surfing on my Android phone, and for apps installation.

My house is spread across 1500 sq. ft, ground floor only. But, the room in which my computer is, where the router will be, is in the back corner of the house. So, need a router with good signal strength.

I have a cable internet, with a static IP, and I have to login to the ISP server using a login program which they provide. The login program checks my IP against the login, so I need a router, which has the MAC cloning feature.

I had tried Belkin N150 from my cousin. I found its settings simple to use, and it has the MAC cloning feature. But, I found the signal strength to be on the lower side.. a bit unsatisfactory.

Also, I am looking for a long term investment, and I don't like changing configuration often.
So, I think a 802.11n which is the latest tech I think, would be good?

And for my needs, will single band be enough?

If I can get such a router for cheap, it will be good. I will also be buying a new computer, so, the money I put in will depend on how much money I can put in, after I get the PC. So, anything around 1.5k will be good, but can think about investing more, to get a good quality router for desired requirements, and long term usage, so I don't need to upgrade soon.

Thanks :)

Someone suggested ASUS RT-N13U to me in the PM, but he is not sure about the range. So, if any of the guys have this model, can you tell if it will work good for my house area?

Also, he said that maybe I was not getting replies because of range specific query. Well, I have other queries too, like if single band was enough for my needs, or, which routers have the mac cloning feature.. or, if all have it.

Any help will be appreciated.
