athlon x2 & mobo

OS--I have win xp 32bit
cabby with one80mm and 120mm fans
Q: What is your intended use for this PC/hardware
Browsing /light gaming

1.is this a good config?
2.how is FSP saga 350w...can it handle the above config ?
 
As far as configuration goes not very aware of the prices, so I will not hazzard a guess and misguide you :(

as far as the SMPS is concerned the FSP Saga II 350 will handle the RIG fine but you will cut out on your upgradability options for the future, hope this small-ish post helps you

Athlon x2 is really not worth it try to push for a Athlon IIx3 440/445 ~ 4.5K + compatible board for another 3K I say + RAM the one you have mentioned is ~ 1.5K + cabinet of your choice ( in budget ) ~ 1.5K and I have already crossed 10K ( your budget ) Sorry

thanks ^^^ but I am planning to build this system for browsing & light gaming (games like motogp 08 ,sbk 09 )...no plans for upgrade in future ...will sell this &will buy a powerful one later

so FSP saga II 350 is a better one for this config ?

Used 80GB SATA HDD ~ 0.5k

Total : 11.3k. Its already well above ur budget and a used GPU like the 9500GT will cost ~1.2k-1.5k. So u will have to increase ur budget by 3k to 13k to fit in everything u need.
 
well 8600gt req very low power around 45-50W max so no worries with FSP psu.

also 9500gt would be around 60w so no psu issues.

no point getting a 8400 as most of amd mobos have similar IGPs, so in case u buying 8400 i would sugest no, stick with IGP & upgrade in future
 
thanks for your help guys.bought new dell 19'' ,zebronics tanatan cabby,3 x 80mmfans,hp dvd rw,fsp saga ii 350w,asus m2n 68 am plus,and used 160gb hdd,2gb ddr2,athlon x2 5800plus cpu..total amount was 15k.. Now searching for a used gfx card..
 
Thanks mate ...^^ ..but searching to find a 8600gt /9500gt ...I ll keep this rig for some months ...after that I will sell it ,to buy a superb one :cool2:
