Need Suggestions for DVD / BR Player

My Old Trustworthy epic Philips DVD Player died.

Instead of getting it repaired its better to get a new one is the message of the service guy.

Am out of that scene for a long time and with advent of HDD based media players the DVD players are sort of alienated.

Need suggestions for such player. BR capability is not a necessity as My LCD plays almost everything off HDD directly.

USB HDD recognising will be an added boon.

Budget is around 5-6k.

I suggest , buy blueray player with unoversal compatibility( no region lock)

suggest panasonic.
 
The 8GB limitation is not mentioned elsewhere, including the manuals. From the looks, one swell player, with DTS HD MA support.

after reading quite a few reviews, I ordered this player from Star CJ for 2.5k.

Any guide to make it region free for DVDs. #vivek.krishnan

Now it can play DVDs from all region along with already region C for blu ray.

Even flash drives greater than 8gb work (tried a 32gb pen drive).

MKV files are working flawlessly.

At 2.5k this player is a steal.

Hi, want to buy one of the bd player. but came across negative revs of starcj. did u have pleasant exprnc with it. how many days it took to deliver.
