Storage Solutions Need Suggestions for HDD

Hi guys,

Once again i need your valuable suggestion to decide what to go for.

Actually I want to buy a HDD which i will used primarily for storage purpose.
so i am thinking of getting one but i am not sure that for what i should go for.
Do i go for an internal or external.

By the way i still have 4 HDD bays free in my cabbie and still got 4 SATA slots.
Right now 1 TB Segate(for data and game) and one 160(for OS) GB Segate is installed. I am wondering if having more internal HDDS will slow my boot up time.
Or should i go for a casing with esata since i am having 2 esata ports.

Well what i considering now is WD green 1 or 1.5 TB for internal.
Other then that i am from bangalore and my budget is around 5k could add a bit :D

so let me know what you guys think ?
 
WD green 1.5 TB is highly recommended for Data storage.

External/E-sata solutions will be much more expensive in perGB cost while decreasing reliability. You can keep the green plugged, so that you can access your 1.5GB data all time, knowing that green doesn't consume much power, nor create much noise. Though boot up time may suffer by 3-4 seconds i guess (which is acceptable).

And incase you just want the HDD as backup, you can always unplug it :P
 
yeah i checked that and i can see that its having 32 MB cache :( i was hoping for a 64 MB one just called ankit infotech will update here when i will get the quote.

Another thing does that 64MB cache version is having some significant performance over 32 MB one.
