Need suggestions for wireless repeaters

I am having tough time getting wireless signal in my house,changed about 2 routers but still there are a few deadspots. The existing router+ modem is in first floor i am getting wired network done to second and ground floor so that i can install repeaters to extend the wireless range. Which repeaters / routers( gigabit preferred) are available at present which work OOTB?

The whole plan is to put the HTPC/ download rig in second floor and acess it via ipad.

Asus RT-N12 / TP-Link 841N should do. Try alternate firmware (DD-WRT/OpenWRT) for better results. BTW what is your existing router ?
 
Sorry did not update the thread did find a solution after talking to a few TE members. Ordered the Linksys WAP610N.
