Hello TE's..

I was looking for a new cabinet. My main priorities are

1. Good airflow.

2. Minimize dust entering the cabinet.

3. Some protection againt corrosion.

I have a budget of around 3k(dont want to extend it).

I have shortlisted some models.

1. CM Elite 360(i favour this one, but can it handle further upgrades)

2. CM Centurion 534(i wonder why this one is so expensive than elite 360)

Further Upgrades

1. May go for 1 TB HDD.

2. May go for ATI HD 6680.

My present config.

Q6600 processor 2.4ghz.

4 gb ram

360gb hdd

intel DG35EC

MSI 8600 GTS.

Vip 500W Gold SMPS.

Now are my real concerns...

1.My vip smps has two fans(one for outlet, the other one i dont know). Going from the pics for Elite 360, it has front smps arrangement. Will my smps be cool enough in that position?

2. My area is more prone to dust and corrosion(creek is nearby, construction takes place hapazardly). Will the elite 360 provide sufficient protection againt the same.

3. Hows the air circulation with the CPU.(people say its kinda small with wires within blocking airflow)

Will it handle future upgrades i mentioned(2 hdd's and a GPU)?

I also have a cosair vx 550W smps. Shall use it when i upgrade my mobo. Will this smps work fine with the elite 360.

I also need two 120*80mm fans(one top, other side). Please suggest me a basic fan which has good capacity for intake and exhaust.

Please let me know your opinions if the elite 360 suffices most of the needs or do i need to go for another choice?

I will be making my purchase from Lamington road so if its available there, its good.

Thanks for reading patiently..:-)

P.S: after doing some searching, i found that in this thread http://www.techenclave.com/pc-peripherals/dust-proof-cabinets-172700.html, many people have suggested Elite 430. Is it still available? whats the cost. I want to stick to atmost 2 fans only.

wud advice u to go wid NZXT Gamma ~ 2.1k... comes wid dust filter... has pretty good space... can take in longer cards like HD6970... and has Bottom mounted PSU... plus it has some pretty good space behind motherboard tray for hiding some cables...

and also buy a CM Blademaster Fan which wud cost u some 500 bucks...

^ +1 to NZXT Gamma. You can add upto 6 fans (rear 120mm fan comes supplied) plus you can install a water cooler radiator inside :)

thanks for ur replies guys...

i guess, it should suffice the problem of dust entering the cabinet. I would be adding a top fan for fresh air.

But i also face the problem of corrosion(rusting). My present cabinet has both the power button and the reset button rendered useless thanks to rusting. Any idea as to how can i minimise rusting?
