After reviewing usages & requirement, decided to stick with external portable HDD only.
Read finger notes on seagate portable plus, 1TB in recent threads.

Emerging 2 options, at present:
EDIT:- Sony HD-E1 transfer rate (Crazy_Eddy recommendation)
Transfer Rate (Max) 5Gbps (USB 3.0), 480Mbps (USB 2.0)
Seagate portable plus -could not find anywhere on official site!!

Its list price is ~200$. If available here would be roughly 12k. Makes more sense getting your own wifi router with a USB port and plugging a regular external drive in.

I have BSNL broadband router at home will do the job, I assume.
