Hey,
I need to buy 15 computers for a school. Nothing fancy, just simple computers. I haven't dealt with hardware in a long time, so am unaware of the current market scenario, do Dual Cores still sell?
I was thinking something on the lines of 250GB HDD, 2GB DDR3 RAM (since DDR3 is cheaper than DDR2 now), 15" TFT. I'm not aware of the current range of motherboards and processors, but need something very basic and the motherboard should have onboard sound and GPU.
Most of all, the budget is at the maximum of 15k, but it'd be great if it could be anything cheaper than that. I checked out the basic office machine suggested in the sticky, would that cut for a school computer? What would be a better way to roll AMD or Intel?
Also, is it better to buy from a company like HCL, who gives on-site repair or buy 15 computers and get AMC from some company?
