Need to buy a DIGI Cam..getting from US

A friend is returning from US in about 10 days, and I want to get a camera for myself. Please suggest some options in the range of 10k INR. I prefer a good optical zoom (atleast 7x) and minimum 10 MP resolution. It should have Image stabilization and other features.

I was thinking of the Nikon L110. How is it? Are there better models ? Please suggest
 
How about this? Perhaps a little over your budget but I feel you can get a better deal if you look around. It is available on eBay at $224 and has international warranty as well.
 
I dont prefer a samsung (don't know why). Probably a Nikon, canon or Panasonic would be nice. Will check out the P90 also ..any others i can look into

How is the Canon SX120IS in comparison to the Nikon cool-pix L110 ??
 
OK...I have Narrowed down to 2 models

1) Canon SX20IS - getting for $330 - $350

2) Nikon P100 - ~$350

Is the Nikon P100 worth the extra bucks, or should I go for the Canon. What are the major differences. Please help guys.
