AS the title suggests need to buy a landline phone with caller ID

No other specific requirements

Budget - as low as possible maybe below 1k

i have a cordless GE phone which has caller id functionality.

been unused for a long time since i dont have a wired landline at home probably you might need to replace the battery of the handset.

battery is disconnected from the phone so leakage and others wont be a problem.

let me knowi f you need one

I dont know what to look for when buying a landline phone

I have the GE one too. Inspite of using alkaline batteries, the date seems to fall back by 5 mins every month. :S

Lcd is not backlit though which is a con if phone rings during powercut or at night.

Get the one with lcd backlight. The M60 i think. Has everything required. Cant say about the voice clarity though. Check adexmart for the same models you saw on ebay. If available there, the prices are lesser by around 200-300 bucks.

Just checked. It has M71 for 925 bucks. rest of other models are above 1k.
