Need to buy a laptop in US

Hi guys,
Can you help me find a good laptop to buy?

my requirements are :

1. Good Screen ( probably 17" if its not too heavy )
2. Proc i7 sandy bridge ( i3 if it can save up on some cash )
3. good battery
4. 3D HD streaming option available ( can skip this if i can add and external stremer )
5. Good graphics proc for my CAD appl and HD movie viewing
6. budget around 1k $
Some things that come to mind are dell XPS 17/15 and Alienware M17x ( pricey )

just reading all reviews on how heavy the XPS17 is..AM thinking seriously of going for the XPS15. Anyone using XPS17 right now? is it really that bulky to carry around?
 
17 inch laptops are more of a desktop replacements or portable workstations... They are very heavy and not at all comfortable to be carried around...

Usual weight for a 17 incher is around 3.6 kg which is quite heavy IMO ...

Thanks.. Will probably go for xps15 then . And if i still want a biggger screen to watch the movies on i will get an LED monitor.
