HEy ,

Im in need of a new fone and im only looking for sliders or flip fones [Stylish looking ones.. ]

Here are the features i would be looking for..

BUDGET - around 10k

- preferably 3 MP camera or more with flash required..
- fone should be SLIM and RECTANGULAR.. dont need too much curves.. or circular design
-Ringing volume should be a little loud.. duh.. i own a n73 now so..
-OS should be decent enough with preferably lots of settings ..
-memory space doesnt matter 1 or 2 gb is good enough..
-Music quality doesnt matter cuz already own a great little PMP..
-Using only for what it is - " a fone " - calling. messaging and pictures sometimes
There you go..
Hoping for some good advice..

BTW - I have looked around and i found the Sone ericsson hazel to be the best..
Altough it has a curve its small and on the backside. so acceptable..
Loved it a lot... just hoping i get a good demo somewhere..

Would love more suggestions or go ahead's on this one tho..
all ideas are welcomed..
Plzz also give your views on SE C903 and SE W995 in comparison to Hazel

Thnks..

SE w995 is too costly and is around 17K.....

I suggest not to go with hazel as i saw many users complaining about it....

Better check other phones...

I suggest you look at Nokia C5.

Its a bar phone(you need a slider or filp) but it is good.

Else Nokia 6700 Slide

Can you be a little more specific as to what problems are found with the fone..

Also i need slider or flip only... no bar fones... and budget is +/- 1k or 2k

i also read about the lg crystal at gms arena.. but there also hazel got pretty good ratings.. and hazel was said to be better than n 6700 slide too..

sony ericsson yari, i bought a hazel 2 days back the only difference between yari and hazel is that yari does not have wifi but does have stereo speakers which are louder. As for the wifi, only the inbuilt browser on the phone uses wifi, all other applications use the gprs connection even though wifi is connected, so wifi isint of much use. The new interface and widgets are cool.

The C903 is also good but yari has stereo speakers and is in the same range.. the w995/c903 have a 256k display while yari/hazel have 16m display.

Take yari for loudness else hazel if you want wifi.

The flash on these fones suck and cameras dont produce good images at night, works well in daylight, Other than that both fones are a good buy.

^^^^^ according to GSM arena review yari has more disadvantages as compared to hazel..

Where as the only thing i found wrong with hazel was the low ringer volume..

for yari..

* No document viewer

* No camera lens cover

* Feeble loudspeaker - --- - - Only this is a little bit of a problem for me.. rest all i can manage..

* Navigation gets expensive when the trial period expires

Also btw are you satisfied with your hazel ??? would you prefer it over YAri?? from where and for how much did you buy it ??? I also saty in Thane..

And How much of difference does 256 k and 16m display makes.. ?? If its not much... then i would go for c903 instead of yari.. coz c903 looks much better and stylish..

Thnks..

Ringer volume ain't that low but could be louder. Phone is pretty good I'm satisfied with it. I got it from the Sony showroom at tembinaka for 11700, lowest quote I got at the station area was 11600 but decided to buy from the Sony showroom itself.

New firmwares for the Elm/Aino fix this. Even if it doesn't work there is a setting modification fix. Any Elm\W995\Aino\C905\W705\Hazel user can PM me for information about this. Because Opera Mini + WiFi leads to quite a pleasant browsing experience on those phones. Btw, the Yari has a Cybershot C901 camera module so dont underestimate the camera.

I still recommend the Hazel, even Shrek would love the keypad !

I'd recommend SE Hazel. Got one for a friend yesterday evening. Looks stunning. brilliant display. Camera's one of the best 5mpx on phones. I'm sure it'd do good in the music department as well. And I believe it has almost all connectivity options plus Social Networking apps. And I must say it has one sturdy build. I also remember reading somewhere these phones are weather resistant i.e. minor splashes of water n stuff.
