I have a USB WiFi receiver for my desktop,

Now i need to buy a USB Extension Cable for the same so that i can place the Receiver near the window.

I am looking for a 5meter cabel....

My question :

1. will the lenght of the cable effect the perfomance for the WiFi signal received / Data transfer ?

2. Is the Filter required in the cable??

3. what will be approx cost??

Rgds,

Did you watch the video? OK forgot about it .

Just all you a hi-speed usb cable. Otherwise device does not work.

here is 10ft USB cable.

Read the specification carefully. Mainly the speed of the cable must be higher than your device speed.

yesterday bought the 5 meter USB extension cable from Lamington road..

Local quality with filter from Road-side... Rs 100....

But it dint worked...

when i connect my pendrive using it .. it shows error "the drivers was not able to install correctly".... with a exclamation mark.

I think there is some difference between normal usb extention with filter and a high- speed usb extention. Because the price is almost 3 or 4 times than a normal cable. You should ask for a high speed cable.

But with the normal cable pendrive does not have any problem. So i think your cable may be faulty.

There is chance that the speed of the cable is the main guilty. Because I also have a normal cable with filter which do not problem with my pendrive but that does not connect my Usb Modem, which i use for internet, because of speed.
