need to convert MPEG-TS files to MPEG format..... software?

guys.. i have a DVD which contains a HD video (MPEG-TS) .. and 5.1 dolby surround .... now the problm is that the DVD is not playing on my DVD player.. so i want to convert this file to such format so that i can play the file on DVD.... which software to use.. kicdly tell which software to use and how to make it play it on DVD player

Does your dvd player play divx files ? Then you can try using a software called SUPER to convert the files to xvid or divx and play them on your dvd player. If your dvd player doesnt play divx/xvid then you will need to author a dvd. First use SUPER to convert the mpeg-ts files to mpeg2 files and then use any dvd authoring tool like nero vision or (google for more) to make a dvd out of the mpeg2 files.

Why dont you try a tutorial at VideoHelp.com - Forum, Guides, Tools and hardware lists , they have pretty much every other conversion in there with lots of tutorials. Have a look :)
 
you can also use any video converter to convert it into divx or xvid, if your DVD player support, else you can convert those to DVD-video or vob files and create a Video-DVD out of it, which will be playable in all DVD players :)
 
i hace converted the files to DVD format .. but after conversion using SUPER software, when itry to play the video , the audio is ok. but the video is very sluggish.. i have used 29 bitrate..(video..)

i have played the video on PC// the DVD player is not with me now.. it is in my uncles house.. what should i do now?
 
Convert TS to DVD

Try above and check ... the vob files which will be produced wont play directly on your dvd player. You will need to produce the IFO or something files which are needed by the dvd player. To do that use Nero Vision. or google for any dvd authoring software.
