Galvanizer
Ok, so all of a sudden windows on a friends laptop decided it had had enough of reboots and did a blue screen during a reboot. It seems to have taken the MFT or something in the hard drive along with it as the hard drive wont boot or even show data. Connecting to another system just shows both partitions as 'Raw'.
I tried using a program called ZAR (after connecting the HDD to my PC using a dock) which does show me some of the files and may perhaps recover them (still trying).
The point is, the data still appears to be there on the HDD (most of it anyway) and its probably just logical corruption.
So now how do I go about recovering the complete data/partitions?
Any and all help appreciated
PS: The HDD is a 2.5" SATA WD Blue
