need to run a japanese gadget over our 240v

hi...I recently got a Buffalo external HD 1TB from japan. Its electrical specification is reading as AC 100V(50/60Hz). In india we dont have that AC supply. :(

plz.. guide me how to get on this issue....

if any adapter is required....plz also tell me about brand,cost...that i should look after

Go to an electrical shop and ask for the 240v to 110v adapter. Should cost anything below 250 i suppose. This is used generally for US gadgets, should work for this one too.
 
two options :->

1. buy a converter to convert 220 v ac to 110 v ac cost 200 - 500 rs

2. buy a new adapter whose output and lead meets the requirement of external HDD may be cheaper

I have bought the adapter which is actually a step down transformer.....and its working....:hap2:

It costed me Rs.170 (local,delhi)
 
well, its working good for now....but i also had the same concern to find a rated one, but i cant find one..

can you suggest any brand and its cost, easily available in delhi.
