Need to share Internet among 4PC out of 20 PC

Hi,
I need to share BSNL Broadband connection among 4PCs out of 20PCs all connected through a 24Port Switch.
Modem-Nokia Siemens
Switch-24Port
PCs-20PC on LAN with static IP
so
I need to share the Internet among only 4. Others should be like norm without any internet.
NB. - All should be able to share Files and printers like norm..

Just setup a proxy server on the main machine from which you are sharing the Internet connection. You will find many freeware/shareware proxy server apps on the Internet. Just google.

Once you have the proxy server running, You can then setup 4 user accounts in the proxy server. People who were given one of these accounts can then access internet from their machines by entering the proxy details from any of the machines. In limit the max connections to 4 in the proxy server so that the account details cannot be used from more than 4 computers.

The rest of the people will not get access to Internet, but they will be able to use the local network as usual.

With a proxy server, you will also be able to monitor the activity on those 4 accounts through the server logs.
 
Since you are using Static ip adresses, just remove the default gateway ip address on the pc's you want to deny internet access to, it should solve all your issues without having to use a proxy server.
 
u just configure on router and giving them specific ip to access internet or if you use windows xp there is a user policy ....u create policy to each user access
