This white colored 14" Vaio should be perfect for your sis. It has 2nd gen. i3 it will handle full HD 1080p with ease and 14" one will also be compact and lighter for her to carry around.

Also RAM prices have dipped a lot. 2GB laptop RAM costs ~Rs.850 and 4GB costs Rs.1450 now. So you can add more if you feel 2GB RAM is too less.

VPCEG15EN : E Series : VAIOâ„¢ Laptop & Computer : Sony India MRP is 30k. usually Vaios have a 5-6% discount from MRP in big retail outlets in the metros (Not the Sony showrooms since they dont reduce even rupee from MRP AFAIK :P)

Though flipkart deal is also decent considering they offer free shipping, backpack and AV for ~29.4k
 
Okay.. Thanks for the input people.. rep++; :P some issue with the rep DA.. i have spread loads of reps.. :P still get that message.. Went for the Toshiba itself.. She wont be needing an HDMI port.. And its basically for work.. so..
