I have a Blaupunkt Monterrey head unit in my Tata Indigo which doesn't have an in-dash USB socket int it. I connect my Creative Zen to it using an Aux cable.
Now, how can I connect a USB drive to my head unit.Is there a cable or a device that can enable a pen drive filled with music to be played through the head unit?
I found that FM Modulators do this but I am not sure about them entirely.
fm modulator, Consumer Electronics, Cars, Bikes CVs items at low prices on eBay India:S
a.How would the quality be?
b. What's the max capacity of pen drives that these devices support?

The size would be an issue while shifting gears if it is through the lighter socket.

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong forum.:)

well i have tried one of those modulators and sound quality was pathetic, Aux would be much better then these modulators

That FM Modulator is a cheap investment for 300 bucks. Lol obviously any day better VFM than investing in an altogether new HU. :P

You could use a USB thumb drive as well as a SD card.

Quality is good. No Eq tweaking and stuff. There's a volume control on the RC provided. The LCD's light blue backlit.

For peeps having a cassette player HU on the car and not willing to upgrade, this's a good investment. Seen it in person on a friend's car. :P

Well.. updating the HU is on the cards.Thats why I was thinking of this cheap option. If the quality is not upto the mark, then what's the point?I listen to a variety of music and especially enjoy the Trance, Progressive and House tracks in my car. They wouldn't sound better if any less quality :)
