Need urgent advice finalizing an LED TV (40/42")

Hi

Currently my sister is in Jakarta and we are planning to buy an LED TV. I have shortlisted the below TVs based on budget etc.

Urgently need your advice on finalizing the TV :

1. LG 42" 42LV3500

2. Samsung 40" Series 5 D5500 Smart TV

3. There was another Samsung same D5500 which is not a Smart TV and around 5000/- cheaper

Please let me know ASAP on how to decide and which to fix. There is a special offer on the TVs till tomorrow so I have to finalize it tonight and tell her.

Both of them dont have international warranty.

I can't comment about the LG one but I have Samsung D5500 & its picture quality is good. USB supports all the formats in Samsung model. I'm planning to buy a third tv regarding which I have started a thread - My choices are between Samsung & Sony. There is another Samsung model which you can shortlist if the price difference is not huge - UA40D5900. It has a sleek finish along with 100 Hz Clear Motion Rate.

First please let us know your requirements and budget. which features you want. 3D,smart tv,DLNA support etc? one of the models you have mentioned is smart tv and other one is not. so please mention your requirements.
 
go with samsung. it has the best built in media player with dts and the contrast and black level are the best when properly tuned.viewing angles are lower than lg-philips-panasonic though. sony and samsung use same panels except sonys cost more.
