i have to say pass on that becoz i was hoping for local pick up

and it is out of my budget

its nice PSU and somebody else would be interested surely

thanks for attention by the way

Would u be interested in a VX450? I'm running a Q6600 and GTX460 on it... so should be sufficient for your GTX260...

my config is Amd Triple core which req. almost 140 w

motherboard -M3n78em

And my MSI GTX 260(216 cores) req .- 2 six pin connector

and Corsair VX 450 has only 1 six pin connector

so figure it out by urself y im going for Corsair vx 550

The other six pin connector can be bought from a store and attached to your Molex.

The GTX260 can run on VX450.

It's called a Y-splitter.

i already have gigbyte 400w PSU which does not support gtx 260 well when i play games in full setting and how 50 watt extra is going to help me anything

and simple logic is that if PSU does'nt have 2 six pin connector then it doesnt support those GPU

That logic is flawed, It is all based on the available amount of amps on the 12V rail, the VX450 has 33A on a single 12V rail.

This is sufficient for most GPU's.

If you still feel, I am misleading you/trolling.

GTX 260 on Corsair VX450 - Guru3D.com Forums

Also, there is the question of efficiency and Max output. I am willing to bet that your Gigabyte PSU will not be able to draw 50W more than its rated wattage.

Whereas, for the VX450 it has the max output capacity of 520-560W.

Of course, It is always better to run the PSU at around 50% of its load capacity for maximum efficiency but still I am confident the GTX260 can run on the VX450.

Boy your serious,i had made a thread asking for a good PSU for GTX 260

and everybody replied to saying that Corsair VX 550 will best for me, for future upgrades

Both of you are correct.

Technically the VX450 can run the GTX 260 safely but it will be a borderline case & leave no scope for further GPU upgrades.

As such when buying a new PSU, it is always better to buy at least 1 step more then the one needed now for future upgrades & hence the recommendation for the VX550
