Hey Every1, im planning to buy CM Haf X tomorrow is it worth it ?, do post your verdicts on this cabby, i know i can read reviews on other sites but i wanna know from my fellow TE'ians as we all share same climatic conditions and stuff :)

Well, if you are aware of CM HAF932 which is an awesome case with great cooling capability, this HAF-X is it's successor with more improved & refined features & performance.

IMHO it's worth every penny.

but i'll suggest you to have a look at Lian Li cases in person as people who owns them say that it is in a different league with better build quality & feel.

PS - i haven't seen any Lian Li case in person.

@Nav33N thanks bro, Cos if i had to spend almost double, like 10k extra in a lianli (shipping and transparent side cover) or more i would rather invest that extra 10k in getting a SSD getting more performance ;), i mean if i had to compare offerings from other Companies at a similar price range, im going for a full tower cos of the following reasons

1) Planning of upgrading to 5870

2) Better cable management

3) Upgradeability

i want my cabby to have

- Good dust filters as my surroundings are a lil dusty,

- i need good airflow inside the cabby to the other components though i use H50 for cooling my Proccy

- Needs to have the bling bling factors, id be adding CCFLs and have all LED fans in it

hie

lian li cabinnets are available in india

contact phoenix on te

he is the dealer for there cases etc

cheers

:)

and post pics

I thought I'll just put in my 2 cents here.

I'm using a Lian Li A70F Extreme Edition full tower and I'm extremely happy with it. I was using a CM HAF 932 before that but Lian Li is just a class apart from the CM range of products. The brushed aluminum outer surface of the LL cases is simply brilliant. The cases are light (the extreme weight of a steel cabinet has always bothered me) and the entire build quality of the LL cases left me amazed.

There is huge room inside the case to work with. The completely tool-less feature of the A70F makes it a dream to install hardware into and installing HDD's is a joy in itself. I would recommend an LL case very strongly. :)

I own a Lian-Li A70F because of it's HDD capacity but I Love HAF 932 & HAF X & would consider then before a Lian-Li always as Steel is better at noise reduction (fan vibrations etc...) also much more sturdier than shaky aluminum.

So I recommend you buy any HAF but preferably the 932 :)

Lian-Li is kind of over hyped beyond imagination.

i got the CM HAF X today, My motherboard looks like a baby resting in a huge cradle, i didnt go for Lian li as i use H50 and not air based cooler so that it would matter much as air is passed to radiator externally, and Aluminium is more prone to damage, and looks wise the Bling Bling factor is a lil higher on the HAF, and also could save some on it so that i can invest on SSD, which i shall be moving to shortly and a ATI 5870

get a MSI 460 Cyclone

ATI are horrible because of drivers

Im now looking for 200mm Led fans for the Haf X, all i could find in Bangalore was Coolermaster 200mm, but i want sumthing better like xigmatek or Scythe, as i dont really like the CM fans, as i have had bad experience, any suggestions for the 200MM led fans ?

I soo agree with you bro ! Wise Words People :)
I have A77 and well honestly i prefer Steel. I have had screw threads that got stripped and other small niggles with alu cases quite often..
