Friends,
Could you please help me with the reliable and quality WM brand
Earlier i was thinking on IFB but read some horrifying reviews over multiple forums so currently thinking on other options on which i can rely??
I am based out of Pune,MH.

Regards,
RJ

Brands : bosch, LG or samsung, pretty much the same price ie same build quality. Expected life 5-10 years with proper care.

Now decide what size drum you need. This i think is crucial.

What are your reasons for preferring a front loader over a top loader ?

Hi blr_p,
Thanks for you response.
Actually i am going for Front load due to the wash quality compared with top load and also i need inbulit heater feature in WM( for Kid clothes)
We are 2 adults + 1 Kid and thinking to go with 6 KG machine.
I have gone through some of the forums here and found that Bosch WM is impresive. your thoughts?
Thanks,
RJ

Wash cycles will be longer. So if you had a top loader earlier then this will be noticeable. But you will be able to get more clothes washed better

bosch does a 5.5, 6.5 & 8. The siemens 6kg has the same drum volume as the bosch 5.5kg. The siemens 7kg is the same as the bosch 6.5kg.

This means you're looking at WAE20260IN model

suggest you get the manuals and check the programs to see if they suit your requirements.

I don't own a bosch (thinking of an LG) so wait for those that do to comment. There's a few here that own one.

Which city do you live in and what is the power situation like where you live, undervoltage/overvoltage etc as this will have a direct bearing on life of the equipment.

Just see what the situation is like in chennai

I am facing severe power issue in chennai. The voltage drops a lot 120V sometimes. Just a week before I bought 4KVA V guard stabilizer for 4K. This double booster stabilizer can boost the voltage as low as 130V. Initially I thought our line wont go down as low as 130V hence bought the double boost. Many ppl are using A/C's in our area and when the neighbours compressor starts off I can see huge drop of 20V in our line. 150V will become 129V. The stabilizer works till 127V and boost till 193V anything below 130V is a sure sign of cutoff for 3 mins. I feel the double booster in my area is useless. I asked my neighbour what stabilizer he uses. He told me a local one with "triple pick-up" costed him 7k. Shall I go with servo based stabilizer or triple boost stabilizer.

Now these machines come with built in stabilsers but i really doubt they could handle this extreme a voltage shift before giving out.
