Most of you must have noticed that TE has a home page with news articles and guides. To help us improve please put in your thoughts together and suggest what are the areas of improvement that we can look at in the coming months. It can be related to (but not limited to) the type of articles, quality of content, frequency, topics and even layout to some extent. Something that is useful to you or to others as a reader.

You can be brutally honest about it but keep in mind that the people working behind it can use constructive feedback.

For me, I think, the existing content quality and volume are good, given the support is coming from the TE community. However, a bit of facelift design-wise would be good I feel. Example: Blognews Magazine | Newspaper and Magazine Theme

We can devote more attention to hands-on product / gadget reviews, comparisons, and top XX (5 / 10) products list in various price brackets (under 10,000 / 15,000 / 20,000) as these topics garner most attention.

We can leverage on the contents (mainly excerpts or Google might punish for duplicate material) from the forum thread/posts and use it in the blog (after getting the consent from the OPs).

Topic ideas: Rooting, custom ROMs for mobiles, reviews of various consumer gadgets, buying guides, etc

Thanks for the feedback , we will be increasing review content soon and more guides etc will be coming.. also would request people to comment on articles more. Instead of commenting in same threads posted on the forum ( like latest tech news forum ) , comment on the portal .

Also if someone feels that topic xyz is good for posting on portal like a review, guide, or comparisons etc . post in this thread or msg me .

People should like the TE Facebook / twitter page as well , we post the portal feed there and you can stay updated

An always active "corner" for regularly updated guides would be useful. You can select one topic for one month, like Buying guides for PCs, Mobile phones, etc. You may even to pitch to sell ad spots based on the guides to companies/dealers.

I would be very happy if you can get the twitter account to be active.

Also , At the end of the month you can place an article and what is the best buy in mobiles/ PC / Laptop section. Which segment is expecting new phones and all that.

Ability to fill the page (I can see white bars on the side which is a waste of space) by using some scripting would be nice.

Also, adding a dark theme would be great.

Finally, on hovering above the forum word, getting the various sub forums would be nice, similar to the home button.

And at last, adding social widgets which show things being discussed on twitter/facebook?

The FB login is a standard feature and I doubt we have the functionality to add google account login.

The redirect was setup initially but got deleted apparently. Thanks for pointing it out. Fixed again.
