Laptops Netbook (Acer) Screen Replacement in Lammy

Has ne1 got a screen replacement of AcerD150 netbook in lammy. I need one badly and have tried Nehru Place but cudnt get a compatible one (after trying half a dozen shops)... so lammy is the last resort.

Kindly suggest the places where it might be done. Also, it is out of warranty and I do not want to pay the exorbitant amount the service centre is gonna charge me for a 21 K netbook.
 
Have u checked the price with the ASC first?? Sometimes they charge just as much as the local service people or even less.

In Mumbai (Lammy), PrimeABGB does undertake repairs from what I have heard. Prime is very reputed as a hardware seller but I really have no idea about repairs.
 
k.. ill chk the ASC thing but hv got very scaring feedback frm my frnds who went by that route... thnx neways. more suggestions are welcome :)
 
ASC quoted 5.8 k ...the prblem is that i not ure if the screen needs to be replaced at all 'coz it just wrks fyn sumtyms and again comes up wid a broken display next tym..(but once it starts correctly it will remain good till shut down)... i guess it can be prob wid the ribbon or invertor but all three guys who opened it in nehru place asked me to change the screen widout doing a thorough test...so i am basically looking for a good technician to do a thorough and honest chekup rather than looting for the screen blindly .... advice needed frm experienced guys...
 
imo you will have to take the lappy to lammy and go to a different technician.in my opinion you should go to a small vendor who does repairs and stuff i am sure there will be plenty in lamington road rather than prime.

bdw the lappy wrks fyn wid external display....and it wuz not dropped or knocked...so can it be a driver/bios issue (the panel says designed for xp and im running win 7)

There are few more shops in Navi Mumbai apart from Lamington. I recently got my laptop checked at one of the shops.. technician charged me 400 bucks for testing..
 
to mk it clearer i'm attaching a pic of what xactly it looks lyk....more suggestions are welcome..once again to repeat...the display comes out just fyn 1 out of 10 times i boot up (widout ext display) and always comes out perfectly on external lcd.

Looks like a faulty ribbon cable. Did you visit any other techician ? Check if the FRC (flat ribbon cable) can be replaced.
 
ok ..finally i got my lappy thoroughly checked at lammy and it turned out that the ribbon cable and screen are perfectly fine and the mobo's gpu has gone kaput..the technician tried fixing it but couldn't. SO, finally it has come down to getting the mobo replaced. ne1 here who has got a netbook's motherboard replaced can kindly comment on the cost and warranty factor ..
 
ne suggestions for a good laptop expert in hyderabad...i need to get the motherboard of my acer aspireone replaced... and ASC has quoted 8k for the same..so out of question ....
