I need to buy a netbook for around 15K-20K(cheaper the better).
I will be mainly using it for my c/c++/java coding and office(word, ppt, excel) and some 720p videos(ya sometimes)...
If possible even photoshop(but will try to avoid as i have a Desktop).....
OS:

Go For Samsung Netbook N150 mini laptop....
10.1 LCD 1GB 160GB HD

You can get everything in it necessary for the programming. As per me, regarding your budget, This is the BEST:hap2: Lappy.

Tbh no this is not the best u can get...

I got a Benq U121 . The good thing about this is that it has a 1366 x 768 11" screen which you will truly appreciate once you really start using the netbook. Battery life is easily 6 hours. I use Photoshop CS2 on it for basic work i might need to do while on the go....

All this for 18k roughly. I can playback 1080p vids on this because of the GMA500 chipset which supports hardware video acceleration. What more can u want from this ?

EDIT : You will DEFINITELY face problems with the normal 1024 x 600 rez screens.

I wouldn't really recommend a Samsung N150 or any other netbook for programming but if you are using light editor like Notepad++ then things are gonna run well.

Office 2007 is not a problem.

720p vids are not a problem on N150 either I tried - Coral Reef Adventure (IMAX), Robotica and The Magic of Flight (IMAX) from WMV HD Content Showcase on my Samsung N150. Checked the videos by connecting the N150 to my LCD TV at 1920x1080.

Battery life is amazing though 8+ hours in Samsung Optimized Mode.

^I completely agree, atleast my experience with c++ on a netbook was pretty bad. Unless you are creating small programs, it will not be enough.

Ok.

I will see the benQ u121

By the way i am a CSE student and soo will do alot of programming stuff.

So what do you suggest?.

Mainly programming(Size doesn't matter but 10" min)...

Budget 25K max now(If it is really worth it)....

^yep exactly...same requirements but no photoshop...only for programming budget 18k max....any recommendation guyz??

opinion about lenova s10-3??

Lenova s10-3 specwise is similar to Samsung N150, but I would suggest from my experience to avoid 10" netbooks for programming. I use one for PHP coding sometimes, and it is not pleasant experience. You will need at least 12" for decent experience for programming - actually 14" would be ideal.

I would suggest Asus EeePC 1201T in 20K budget.

both java and c++ will eat your time in compiling , atleast go for i3 or start programming in php (interpreted language) :P

k...the problem is i cant invest much as iam already having desktop and getting another in may...so iam having limited budget..

Wat about Asus 1201t??? and any stores for used laptops in Hyderabad???

TBH for programming there is nothing wrong with a netbook. I know a guy who's shifted from laptop to netbook for programming (he runs archlinux) and has been happy for the last half an year.

Just go in for atleast 11.6" with resolution of 1366 x 768. The normal low resolution of netbooks just won't cut it and you'll face issues later on.

k..guyz these are the 3 netbooks which i found will fit my budget....

Dell Inspiron M101z

Mini 210-1122TU

Mini 210-1119TU

so which one u recommend...and i'l be writing code in that..compiling will be done on my desktop machine....

but what is its price in india and my budget is 20k and at max 21k....i can't go any further....

edit: just found 2 more from msi..

msi x320

msi cr410..

are they available and what are their costs??

Got MSI CR410....

Just awesome...streamed and played full hd movie and its just awesome...only 50% cpu utilized...need 2 check battery backup...:)
