Have a Vodafone 3G ready prepaid lying around. A month old. Let me know. Mumbai.

Airtel sells those modems in retail . Check in any brick and mortar shop. Ranges from 1.3k to 1.65k for the 3 &7 mbps modems. Check if they are network locked though.
