Netgear WGR614 router query

hey guys,
got myself a netgear WGR614 so that i can use both my desktop as well as my laptop (wireless).I am using 5networks internet connection.
The thing is i used to use this dialer to login and then disconnect it.
Since i have a night unlimited a/c with a 150 mb daily limit, i generally used to logout and login again to see my net usage (it gets logged only once you logout). Now due to the router, the net is permanently switched on and i find no other alternative but to remove the power cord of the router (which i dont want to do very often)
Is there workaround for this?
 
I have been trying the same for my NU and so far there seems to be no other alternative. I even asked the netgear tech support and they said that there is no such feature at the moment.
 
Most routers have an option called Bridged mode. Try changing it to that? Then you should be able to dial as before from the PC!

so you too switch off and then swtich on the routeR?

can you explain that in detail? i select the bridge mode from the router settings page or from the lan card?
