netgear wgr614 username & passsword problem

hello techmates !
i have recently bought a netgear wfr614 (router) but after following the smart setup there comes a problem ~it asks for username & password and our seller had told us some username password which is not working right now!
what can be the problem??:S
any idea how can i change the username and password to default!

trying to connect another desktop through this router, any idea about a good wireless -g which can be useful in catching the wireless network and it's cost?:(

The default username/pass for the WGR614 :

username: admin

password: password

If you've accidentally changed it, there's a reset pinhole on the rear of the router.

where is the pinhole ?:(

no progress after resetting !

still this comes -the process is failed this more likely because the login information provided is wrong!

help!
 
Uhm, Just a small push of the reset pin button wouldn't work.

I guess it should be held in that position for almost 5-10 seconds for it to work..

Can you try and post back if it worked?
 
Try holding the reset button down with a paperclip or something similar for at least 30 to 40 seconds. Should reset it back to factory defaults. After that admin/password should work.

i'm new user to this so don't know much about it!

i'm having a dell inspiron 1525 having wireless features !

any idea of how to make it catch the wireless signals from my router (placed near the desktop)!

i had made some progress regarding this fact but it says- trying to connect and then it fails!

why?any idea?how to ?
