Never ever go for Reliance if you are not from a metro

Well Reliance do have a quality in Metro's but in other cities they are just crap. I am from Chandigarh and i am subscribed to their 1199 Ace Plan.

Though they are known for downtime and ping problems but from past one week they had gone one step further in order to add some more negative points to their already deteriorating reputation.

Keep yourself away from reliance at any cost if you are not from metro. Their plans might look lucrative but what's the use when half of the their network is down to poor infrastructure.

Most stupid and idiotic company i had ever seen.:@

Metro-non metro doesn't matter,Reliance sucks big time everywhere......total cheat/fraud company.

I'm from Kolkata,i'v applied for their connection more than 2 weeks ago,every process till identity verification is completed,but nothing.I'm fed up calling their lame/dumbass customer care & tired of hearing same replies,i even called the sales guy many times,the only thing i hear is another date & his behavior is getting worst.Now i'm wondering whether I'll get back my installation charges.But one thing is for sure even if they come to install i wont take their connection to end up in a sea of misery & headache.:@

PS. DON'T EVER GO FOR RELIANCE BB UNLESS YOU WANT HEADACHE & MISERY,JUST GOOGLE 'RELIANCE BB COMPLAINTS' & VERIFY.
 
why such broadbased allegations .... fine i understand you had a bad experience , but have you undertaken a survey of all cities other than metros and conclude this is a crap company?
 
@All...hehehe sorry for my sarcasm but I have been a victim myself and yes they suckkkkkkkk. It does not matter whether you are in Chandigarh or timbuctoo. Really they can bring the animal out of me.

there are people who are satisfied customers of reliance but they do not create such threads for being satisfied of their services.

so the OP had a bad experience .. Move on :)

In your search phrase, replace Reliance with the name of any other ISP in India and you would get an equally disturbing list. What the heck can you do in such a situation? Learn to live without internet access?

Well atleast they didn't started serving you with bills which they did in my case. They didn't provided the connection after giving excuses for for two weeks but started the bills for the next few months... Good thing I did was when they missed the promised connection date two times I applied for stopped cheque for initial deposit so that I do not have to waste my time following up for a refund...

NO,not all isps are running parallel business to siphon money of innocent customers,they are notorious for sending bills even after disconnection & if u don't pay their recovery agent will start to make your life hell & lastly issue a court order.

Bad service is different issue but this practice is not at all justified.
 
^^ Can you name one ISP who has a clean chit from every member on this forum let alone the entire country?. As for the experience you stated, it is nothing specific to Reliance. I had the very same experience except that it was from Airtel (Charged for a deactivated connection and threatened with legal notice). I had posted a thread regarding that previously.

To reiterate, So far I have seen various degrees of poor customer service over the years from VSNL, Netlinx, Sify, Hathway, Airtel, Beam Tele, Reliance and I am pretty sure that the rest won't be any better either. Its the ugly truth that we have to face.
 
Just thought of sharing this since every other week I see a reliance bashing post. I had a downtime of around 1/2 a day and 2 and 1/2 days in the same week which got me a little pissed. I called up the nodal officer and politely asked to see that things get resolved ASAP (the connection was up in around 3 hrs after the call). I got the monthly bill today and i was pleasantly surprised to see that a neat Rs. 200 have been deducted from my total bill amount. It was a waiver for 7 days which I had not even asked for. I would have preferred to have the connection up all the time instead of this waiver but the point is it's a nice gesture on their part (and you cannot help if there are cable cuts due to things reliance is not responsible for).
 
Ok,at last i got Reliance wire line BB connection ' Night Booster Zoom 1' today, after 1 month from the date of application.I wasn't holding any hope for the quality of connection seeing their crap customer service,still i was persistent because i knew recovering the installation charge from them is next to impossible,so why not give it a shot.

Well,i was correct.This is the result (Time 12:07am-2Mbps applicable)

Look at the ping to a New Delhi server :S

I checked the modem,the line rate is set to 1024kbps down.I tried to call the installation guy,he replied ' We cant do anything about it now'.......called the sales guy,he said first check at night then call me & i'll provide you the service guy's number(i guess he was talking about the guy whom i called just before him), i tried to make him understand that speed wont gonna change at night because it's fixed at 1024kbps but alas no point arguing with an.......... at last called their famous CC, 'Sorry sir,we cant do anything before 72 hrs' :clap:

I'm sure this is not going to change so i wont fight with those lame CC or service or sales guy again to improve my speed(too tired already & fed up),will just apply for disconnection after 72 hours(it takes 72 hrs to get registered in their system).

Can anyone please tell me the safest process to get rid of their connection because i heard a lot about them.... how they just don't disconnect & keep sending bills for months & lastly a court notice....i don't wanna go through these.

Any kind soul please help me out,i made a mistake by choosing reliance but i'm human after all.

p.s :NEVER EVER GO FOR RELIANCE :@
