Ubisoft has announed today, that a new graphic novel (or a Comic, as it is more popularly known) is being launched by them, by the name of 'Assassin’s Creed : Brahman'. This graphic novel, tales place in 18th century India which under the time was under British colonial rule - and stars a new Protagonist known as Arbaaz Mir (by the name who seems to be a Muslim), and he is battling a life long enemy who threatened Mir's land and people.

The official statement from Ubisoft regarding the same reads -

"India – 18th Century. The story follows the adventures of Arbaaz Mir as he faces down a foe who subjugated his land and people and who’s now in possession of an artefact that may be a very powerful Piece of Eden. Will he disobey the Brotherhood and take the life of his greatest foe? Will he uncover the secret of the artefact? Will his connection to Abstergo programmer Jot Soora be revealed?"

The graphic novel continues with the Assassin's Creed storyline, and has new information and perhaps some information regarding the future iterations games as well. Assassin’s Creed: Brahman is written by Brenden Fletcher, and features the drawings of Kart Kerschl and Cameron Stewart.

You can also see a preview of the comic here, and it can be seen that it begins in the Golden Temple, Amritsar - a holy temple of the Sikhs.

How about AC for the eklavya story?

Young common blood upstart threatens the highborns idea of who the chosen one is, they hire an assassin to take care of business. or we could flip it and have the young upstart who belives he is the chosen one doing the whole AC thing to try and kill arjun, with the final act costing him his thumb.

Disclaimer: I have never played AC, i am assuming it is similar to Thief/Splinter Cell/Hitman/Project IGI

Also the Mahabharat would make an awesome Total war title, as would Asoka's empire, but i can easily foresee random morons objecting to them for the flimisiest of reasons.

@soggy316 Though the idea sounds great, that would be something an Indian studio would do and ruin the world of gaming, just like animation studios do. If it is fantasy, the majority of Indian mindset always wants *their* own mythological fantasy to be portrayed and nothing else.
