The ASUS Xonar soundcard is currently available in a PCI-E version, this card has the suffix DX added to its name. ASUS has now introduced a PCI model, the Xonar D1. The Xonar D1 offers the same quality and functionality as the PCI-E version, under which several Dolby technologies such as DirectSound3D GX 2.0 and EAX HD 5.0
The Xonar D1 features an internal S/PDIF connector, which can be connected to the HDMI-output of a graphics card (if the graphics card supports HDMI that is). Pricing and availability for ASUS' Xonar D1 are unknown.
