New-Blacksite: Area 51-Screens

Pass mince pies over these nine new screenshots from Midway's Blacksite, if they're not too much for you this early on a Monday morning. Look at that giant alien snake-y tentacle-y thing! Run for the hills!

Area 51's due on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and drops players into the combat boots of a military veteran charged by the government to lead a squadron of specialised soldiers against unidentified enemy races in the Rachel, Nevada area (you can breathe in now). Midway's previously said about the game that it will "redefine the first person shooter genre".

The ppl who tried out the demo wasn't pleased even though it was a demo..their predictions are tht this game won't hit it off since they are releasing at the time where there are other high profile shooters..Halo 3,Half-life 2 ep 2 etc.

I really wanted to d'load the demo since I did like the previous Area 51 but was not able to finish it,Unfortunately my friend recommended me not to..unless I like to play with trash.
 
Oh right, Oh well, I completed the first one, the ending wasn't very good, in fact it was crap! lol we'll just have to wait and see, Whats the relase dat efor HL2EP2? the first one was awesome, i had it for the Xbox:) i loved that buggy you could get drive! x) i just pressed the boost over and over:) Oh the good old days, before i left school:P:) hehe!!! anyways i hope this game isnt as lame as the first!....
 
Half-life 2 EP 2 is releasing in october,As for this version of area 51..sounds and looks promising since it has squad based oombat and some kind of a morale system which would affect your teammates depending on how you treat them like sending them into danger instead of yourself or telling them to stay back while you take on the enemy all by yourself.

Forgot one more thing,when bioshock releases I doubt tht ppl are gonna buy this.
 
I Don't think Comparing BioShock to BlackSite Area-51 is fair (Unless you're comparing game engines, because both of them use Unreal 3.0). people will buy the game regardless of BioShock or any other title, quite simply because it's unique in it's own way; TES4 was leaps and bounds better than DMoMM, but people still bought the latter title. although i must say, this squad morale thing reminds me of The Thing. For all the people calling original Area-51 (2005) lame need to seriously stop drinking hatorade. Area-51 was one of the best shooters of 05, especially on the PlayStation2. the weapon Implantation and Recoil feel in the game were pretty damn sweet. the sound effect and the voice acting by Duchovny (Although cheesy) was great too. the only downside of the game was the shabby storyline, which granted, very few games have good storylines. while this sequel isn't going to change the FPS genre or anything like that, It'd still be a interesting title and one i am anxious to play :)

Let's look at this way..if a kid has cash to buy only one game which one would he pick..Halo 3 or HL2 EP2 or Blacksite: Area 51.Also note tht the demo has got almost negative replies from gamers even though it was a demo and only some sites were nice enough to say how the gameplay really was.

A Smart Kid will get Blank DVD-9 and head to torrents;)

haha, I am not sure dumb people should be allowed near X360s :P then he should read reviews on all three games and get the one that offers the most VFM. meanwhile saving on for other two titles.
